Second prototype


The second prototype is here!

But where was the first prototype again? Well it was shared to a very few people at the end of December 2021 to check on the core mechanics , but no worries, even if you didn't try it, you missed nothing that you cannot find in this one (except bugs and poor design choices).


What's new:

- A story: With a start and an end. For now it is not fully available for the player but there is a direction.

- Graphics: Square and triangles are in the past, there are even animations !

- Variety of monsters: Each one of them has a unique behavior! Learn their pattern to beat them.

- New mechanics for your characters: Movements is random for Broon and Filice each turn and Arwelin can only use spell cards (not attacking).

- Variety of spells that you get after each challenges. Construct your deck as you see fit to progress.


What was already there:

- The turn by turn system: That's the core of the game.

- The floor system: Check at which floor you are to know what you will face.

- The spells: Cards to collect and use to help allies or hindrance enemies.


What's coming next:

- Sound (SFX): That will be the next major update.

- Music: Following the sounds in the ToDo list. May take more time...

- Make UI more intuitive: I believe that is the biggest flaw in the project as it is now (but that is before seeing your reviews)

- More content: levels, monsters, spells...

- World Interactions: While in the combat. To have light, remove an obstacle or create one.

To download:

Install the zip file from below or the main page, then uncompressed it and run the application name "After The Fall" inside it.
